Every pet I paint has a personality worth capturing. I paint custom, watercolor portraits from your photos – expressive, detailed, and made to last a lifetime!
Browse the sizes below and pay a 50% deposit. Then send me reference photos to reserve your spot on my waiting list. The remaining balance is due when your painting is complete. Taxes and $20 flat shipping are added. Or choose to pick up your portrait for free at Peet's Coffee in Alameda, California by choosing “Store Pickup.” Paintings only depicts one pet unless “Additional Pets” are added to the order.
More About the Ordering Process
The non-refundable deposit covers my time, materials, and the commitment to your project. The remaining 50% deposit is due upon completion of your painting (plus tax and any applied shipping costs). Six by six inch paintings, gift cards, pencil portraits and extra pet fees are PAID IN FULL upon purchase.
The smallest size painting (6”x6”) will show a pet’s HEAD ONLY.
Work can take a few weeks to several months depending on waitlist position (dated from receipt of deposit AND reference photos). Let me know if you have a gift deadline (like a birthday) and I will attempt to accommodate. For rush orders email me to discuss an additional charge.
Quality photos are key to a successful portrait. See “Next Steps” page on how to provide the best reference photos.
Gift cards are available in $100 denominations as well as $150 for the smallest portrait size.
Special requests - I can paint any kind of pet, not just cats and dogs! I also offer 8”x8”, 10”x10”, 12”x12” and other sizes. Want more than two pets in a pencil drawing or for me to paint your child or friend? Email me to discuss additional options.
Photos must be submitted within six months of the deposit.
DETAILS ABOUT YOUR ART
I pledge to create a unique work of art that will truly capture your pet’s spirit and be treasured for years to come.
All paintings are completed on 140 pound, 100% cotton archival watercolor paper using only professional grade watercolor paints.
Matting and framing are not included but I would be happy to offer suggestions on matting and framing.
I will update you on the work as I proceed and your input is KEY. Please inform me in advance if you have specific color or background preferences and I will take those into account when choosing the color palette and composition.
When complete, I will email you an image of the finished work. Please inform me at that time if you would like any alterations and I will do my best depending on the request and the limitations of the medium used.

SHIPPING
There is a flat fee shipping cost of $20 via USPS Priority Mail for destinations in the United States of America. Email me to calculate international rates.
All work up to 16×120 inches is carefully packed with a backer board, plastic sleeve and rigid mailer envelope. Items larger in size are packed in a mailing tube. Shipping usually takes 5-7 days.
Artist will take great care preparing art for shipping but is not responsible for damage during shipment.
These are one-of-a-kind works of art. As such, returns and exchanges are not accepted.
LEGALESE
As the artist, I retain copyright and ownership of the reproduction and licensing rights of all art I create.
I welcome your feedback during this process and will attempt reasonable changes as requested. In the rare event that a client is unhappy with a final result, the deposit is retained and I keep the artwork. No refund will be issued. I also reserve the right to keep and resell any artwork if the remaining balance has not been paid within 14 days of completion.
Customer is free to publicly share or display art but reproduction for commercial use or profit is prohibited unless approved by the artist in writing. Feel free to share on social media but please tag or reference my business! Work may not be altered without the artist’s written consent.
